Father Redmond will retire with the others, bowing multiple times to Burne and Rufus and walking backward as they depart.

The party heads back to the Inn of the Welcome Wench. You are greeted cheerfully and welcomed. There is no sign of Turuko and Kobort and, when asked, no one gives mention of them. A check of their room reveals that they have effectively checked out, although no one recalls that occurring. It's mentioned that it is very possible that they had everything with them when you confronted them.

You are served a lavish dinner and there are many requests to hear of your adventures for the past two days.

Effric, Druid

Effric will regale the newcomers with the tale of the giant spider, then enjoy his dinner and get some rest for the night.

Tavin - Monk

Over a vegetarian meal with some ale: Unfortunately, the master is still in the keep... we need to return as soon as we can.

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin shares a table with Tavin and listens to the activity, his thoughts often drifting to his lost brother. When he snaps out of it, he says to Tavin "Yes, this so called Master begs further investigation. And I'd be happy to help topple him and his operation, as it may be."

As he chats and dines with Tavin, he tries to keep an eye on Caydon, advising him to forgo the loose women of the town, and be wary, as we have no idea of the whereabouts of Turuko and Kobort. Thurwin will eat and take in the sights, and will mainly keep to himself unless spoken to, and then retire early, telling the others he plans to visit the church again tomorrow.

Father Redmond - Cleric

Father Redmond is glad to be able to take a little break. Who would have known that a pilgrimage could be so dangerous and exhausting. As Effric tells the tale of their mighty deeds, he will make a point of remembering to the assembled patrons that it was his auguries and the power of the great Zagyg that allowed them to come back victorious.

Once the evening quiets down he will take a look at the bolts of fine cloth they have brought back from the moathouse and start thinking about the magnificent piece of clothing he will weave with them.

Caydon - Rogue
Caydon is "working" the room, trying to pick up on whatever loose gossip he can. He spends a fair amount of time chatting with any eligible women he might encounter, hoping to find companionship for himself and Thurwin. Smiling to himself, he imagines how mortified his best friend will be when he finds the mage a date. Catching the mage's glare of disapproval from across the inn, Caydon shrugs his shoulders and mouths a silent "What?"
"This looks like a place we've never been to before!"

As you revel, a few men come down the stairs. They start at your presence, seemingly surprised by what they see. Then they nearly run over themselves as the merchants you rescued stand, also in surprise and delight. Our fellows, one explains, glee obvious in his voice. We thought they wouldn't be here for another few weeks!

We hurried to town after the ambush. We thought you lost, friends!

No, these fellows rescued us from a great ogre who went by Lubash! We were all but eaten but for their heroism!

The newcomers turn to the the rest of you. Thank you for saving our fellows. One races up stairs, tripping as he is running so fast. He returns moments later with a bag bulging. It is filled with 400 GP. They also give the cleric, Fr Redmond, a sheaf of papers for his excellent help. After the initial excitement wears off, he looks at the papers and sees they are just coupons for a free bolt of cloth with every bolt purchased.

Encounter complete. 3XP each.

The rest of the night passes without incident, although you find your meals, drinks, and bedding paid for by the merchants, who spend the evening in a corner catching up and making plans. Caydon finds some harlots, I mean female companions, for himself and Thurwin.

Unless anyone specifies otherwise, I assume you bed and awaken. Thurwin needs to declare his spell.

Tavin will bow to the merchants: Our pleasure to help.

Waking up the next morning and eating breakfast with the party. We should get back as soon as we can, business is unfinished.

Tavin is ready to go.

OCC: 400gp divided amoung the party would be 66gp each. Tavin will change his to 6pp and 6gp. Sheet updated. Also with XP.
