I agree with most of greyarea's suggestions above.

Thieves: A lock and a lockpick would be good for thieves I think, better than a daggar (thieves can use any weapon after all :D).
Dwarves: Maybe a mountain?
Halflings: I think a pipe is the best suggestion so far.

I like the lock and lockpick for thieves.
I'm not so sure about the cross for cleric. Maybe two palms put together for prayer?
Halflings are great at ranged fighting, so I suggest a sling. If we choose a pipe we might as well use pointy ears for elves and a mug of beer for dwarves. :P

So, thanks to the hints you all gave me, I've choose the icons for each class:

  • Cleric:Two praying hands
  • Fighter: A sword with a shield
  • Mage: An open book
  • Thief: A a lock with lockpicks
  • Elf: A sword with an open book
  • Dwarf: A warhammer with an helm
  • Halfling; A dagger with a pipe

And now, after I did some work on the GUI and on the text rendering, here's another screenshot!

Image

The beautiful and realistic class image was added later in paint just to show where the animated class images will be, and the size of them too. The icons on the top of the screen indicate the classes of the PC that have been already created.

So, tell me what you think! And thanks againg for all the help you are giving to me ;)
