GORE and Cthulhu

So, I happened upon something along the lines that GORE is compatible with Chaosium's Lovecraftian offerings. Long story short, my question is: how much would I have to make up to run and/or play in a Cthulhu campaign with GORE (by make up, I mean add on to the GORE system)?

GORE is essentially a retro-clone of earlier versions of CoC, with a little Mongoose RuneQuest I thrown in, so it should be easily adaptable. It isn't so much a matter of mixing them together as running Call of Cthulhu adventures with GORE and adding in the monsters (since GORE didn't include a bestiary). If you compare GORE with Chaosium's free BRP Quick-Start edition, you'll find that the two cover similar territory. Add the free Mongoose RuneQuest I SRD for the critters, and you're ready to go.

For me, GORE was my BRP quick start edition.
