Why no Intelligence/I.Q. ability.

Most games have one and I was wondering why it was left out of this line of games?

Hmmm... Well, I can't speak for the original designers of the Pacesetter system, but I've always used your "Perception" score as a measure of mental acuity. How mentally quick you are and how observant you are of your surroundings. And with the Pacesetter skill system, you're very rarely in need of an "INT check" but rather you're checking against your specific Investigation score, or your Medical score, or something specific you would know. And for those general smarts scores, the PCR is more of a "You think you remember how to..." or "You seem to recall..."-type rolls.

That's pretty much how I figured to play it. It slipped my mind while making the post that you fellas aren't the original builders of the system.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter.
