The Target & Kite shield may parry ranged weapons.

All close combat weapon skills are based on DEX+STR (with the exceptions of Unarmed and Martial Arts).

GORE Fantasy starting funds:

Up to the GM really, but perhaps some discussion with the players as well if needed.

I'd suggest anywhere between 80Gp-120Gp.

Maybe 170Gp maximum.

Glad you like the material.
I've grown to like GORE quite a lot, so I've added some themes & material for it, like sci-fi, fantasy, modern weapons and Zombie apocalypse.

I've not added any background material for the sci-fi or fantasy; I've left that up to players like yourself.

As I stated in the fantasy weapons list, you can just have 2 skills: hand weapons & ranged weapons instead of weapons classes.

Have fun with the material, hope you enjoy it.

Great work. I've been playing with the idea of taking the four basic classes in LL( fighter,thief,wizard,cleric) and giving it a D100 feel. Anyone have any good ideas what the standard skills would be for those classes if you converted them to Gore Fantasy?

GORE FANTASY CLASSES:
I only use 2 combat skills: Hand weapon & ranged weapon:
Each weapon requires a separate skill (P11 – GORE): no, just the above 2.

Fighter: First Aid, Martial Arts, Riding, Dodge,
Any weapon.

Cleric: First Aid, Natural Lore, Research, Driving (Wagon), Riding, Craft (alchemy),
First Aid.
Typical weapon: Mace (light or heavy), Quarterstaff: 25%

Wizard: Craft (Alchemy), Driving (Wagon), Natural Lore, Research,
Typical weapons: Short Sword: 15%, Quarterstaff: 25%

Thief:
Conceal, Disguise, Dodge, Evaluate, Fast Talk, Locksmith, Notice, Move Silently, Streetwise.
Typical weapons: Blackjack, dagger: 25%.
These are just suggestions.


All the above classes have Hand Weapon & Ranged weapon skill (obviously).
Climb, Hide, Jump, hear are general skills.
Language - Native (base INTx5).
Language - Other (Base 00%): elf, dwarf, halfling. These are just examples.
