The hosts of the Roll for Initiative Podcast, the original AD&D podcast, spent a show reviewing our latest issue - Urban Adventuring!

I think they liked it, but listen for yourself: http://osrgaming.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5439
Then check out Issue 8 to see if you agree or not: www.and-mag.com

Be well and thanks for reading!

Are you going to Gary Con? Sadly I am not, but & Magazine is!!!

At the Black Blade Publishing booth is where you'll be able to find & .

BBP has put together hard copies of recent issues of & Magazine for all to peruse and to be given away for FREE! There are also promotional cards available showing off the intensely high quality that the Art Team brings to & Magazine.

We are so proud to be working with Black Blade Publishing who are honoring our commitment to being a free resource for AD&D (and earlier) gamers and immensely proud to be a small part of Gary Con this year. We know everyone attending will have a wonderful time, and we want to thank Gary Con for helping to keep the wonder and enjoyment of the games we all play together alive.

Some pictures I wanted to share of the items being given away and, with regards to the hard copies of the magazine, raffled off. Click on thumbs for the bigger picture:

The first segment of the Castle Triskelion Mega-Dungeon has published!

The Castle Triskelion is a sprawling multi-level castle/dungeon that has numerous levels above and below ground! This free supplement for Old School role-playing games is being published in segments. The Introduction provides background on the Castle, including new monsters and items.

The Ground Level is the first module in this exciting series — it details the ground level (1st floor) of the Castle in 20 stimulating pages. This first segment is designed for low level adventurers. As with all mega-dungeons, the level of future segments will ramp up along side of the character’s level.

Stay tuned for more segments!

The Castle Triskelion mega-dungeon is written by Tim Stypinski, and is published through the & Publishing Group web site.

& Magazine Issue 10 Is On It’s Way!

Image
Art by & Magazine artist Chris Letzelter

It’s August, and that means that & Publishing Group is putting the finishing touches on its tenth issue, an issue focused on the Shape Changers. How’s a shape changer to survive in a world where ‘solids’ are always looking to kill you? Len Lakofka explores whatever happens to the clothes and possessions of those who shapeshift, polymorph and the like. And Issue 10 would not be complete without an analysis of the etiology of lycanthropy. Andrew Hamilton continues his exploration of the Otherworld; a fairie realm inspired in part by John “Gnarley Bones” Turcotte’s Red Tam’s Bones modules. As well as an intriguing NWP for “Monster Lore” by Vince Lethal – to handle some of those metagaming difficulties when your players have memorized the Monster Manual.

There’s also adventures, creatures, foes, maps, and other useful materials we feel you’d enjoy, along with the usual things you’ve come to expect from & Magazine. As well as more on missile fire from Len Lakofka, more spell lists from Tim Moore, text-based gaming by Thomas W. Thornberry, and magic items and spells from Stuart Marshall with that OSRIC flavor of course. Tim Connolly continues a favorite from last issue, his BrewMaster column, this issue’s topic - “For Crits and Giggles”. As well as much, much more from all our fantastic regular authors, artists, and cartographers that our readers come to expect!

Check this space for when the issue hits the eStands and download it, as always, for free. Or you can check us out at our regular base camps:
