It would be very hard to implement the Swords in the game. In the books they are extemely powerful, but the Swords are brought into conflict against one another and several are destroyed. The books are pretty good though.

I'm loving the idea of these powerful weapons in some sort of temple on the Plane of Balance. When they are all together, they null each other out, and balance is maintained. If one of the items is taken, it's very powerful on its own and balance is lost. The party is called upon to restore balance before the plane unravels, and that unraveling works its way into the other planes.
