I've created a campaign at http://www.UnseenServant.com with the campaign ID: 136
Please use this for creating your characters. It's easy, peasy:
1. Go to http://www.unseenservant.com and create a profile.
2. Follow these instructions: http://www.unseenservant.com/default.as ... #character. Again the Campaign ID is 136
3. Follow these instructions to roll stats: http://www.unseenservant.com/default.asp?do=guide#stats. We're using 4d6c1. Arrange stats however you'd like.
Once you've rolled the stats, link to them here using the "PbP Forum code"
You don't need to use the character sheet there, I will provide a template (which is essentially the same as the template everyone uses on this site).
4. Give me the basic info for your character (race/class/subclass/alignment/etc). All characters are starting at Level 1 with max HP for their race/class. We are using advanced HD (AEC21).
We are using LL/AEC with subclasses as defined by Dyson Logos https://rpgcharacters.wordpress.com/tag/subclasses/. Because of this rule, characters can be a class with a subclass or a race with a subclass but not both (for example, you can be an Halfling Thief Fence or a Halfling Brewmaster but not a Halfling Brewmaster Thief and definitely not a Halfling Brewmaster Thief Fence). Alternate classes might be allowed at my discretion, so don't be afraid to ask. Chances are good that if the class or race makes sense and is well defined, it will be allowed.
Classes are first come, first served, so that if you see others have already made two fighter characters, consider a mage, cleric or rogue. An unbalanced party will die pretty quickly. So might a poorly aligned one, so choose your alignments wisely. A paladin and a chaotic-neutral fighter or lawful evil assassin won't work, and I'll help make sure of that. That said, an entire party of LG or CG characters might get old quickly, so think it through. If you have questions on alignment, please let me know.
Experience Points would use the simplified system from DCC as described in DCC26 (0-4 XP per encounter and set XP thresholds for all classes). This will hopefully simplify things for all involved. Because of this, multiclassing would not be allowed.
When character sheets are done, I will give XP bonuses for backgrounds and portraits. If you have a cleric or paladin, contact me about potential patron deities.
