johnnybleu's big art dump

Postby johnnybleu » Thu Jan 31, 2013 5:52 pm

I was always a fan of fantasy art, and the work found in various RPG books. I remember spending hours thumbing through my friend's D&D books, just drinking in the evocative art, even though I could barely read english and we didn't play the game. All this to say that I love fantasy art!

Anyway, I recently decided to try my hand at some of this stuff, and I'm having buckets of fun. I figured I would share my creations with fellow gamers, who might appreciate them. Please keep in mind that I'm just doing this for fun, and enjoy!

Some of these pieces might already be floating around, but I'll post them here for the sake of completion (such as it is).

The Eye of Terror (or, ya know, Beholder with extra arms ;))!

Carrion Crawler surprise! What fun!

Fighting a troll is hard work.

This should fetch a nice price.

Who doesn't like a little barbarian cheese? :p

I'll post more pieces as I go along!

Love it. Would probably by a module based on that art alone.

Here's another tribute to one of my favourite monsters. You can't have enough gelatinous cubes!

Started as a sketch, which I then tried to turn into a painting, but that didn't quite work out. I don't have the painting chops to pull it off quite yet. ;)

Anyway, enjoy being dissolved by 10 cubic feet of goo!

That gelatinous cube is incredible.
I envy your talent.

You should make wallpaper size versions for our perpetual enjoyment :D

Your paintings are fantastic - I love that gelatinous cube! Are you working on any game products at the moment?
