Yeah. Sorry...but last time I checked shipping to the US was just crazy high.

This is just the "USA perspective" - but did you try checking out a possible shipping option that is for "media mail" only? It's likely that the UK does not have this options, but in the States - so long as what you're sending does not have "advertisements" (and - to this - I would add "RECENT" advertisements) you get a reduced shipping rate - known as "media mail"!!

I doubt the UK has anything similar, but it never hurts to find out! :D
