I'm continuing my discussion with Malcadon in this new thread. With that said, how would you handle the mechanics invovled in such a monster hunting/slash training game and just how dark would you take it? Just think of this as brainstorming thread.

Now part of the idea behind these rules is to be compatible with Labyrinth Lord and with some tweaks Mutant Future, or vise versa. Hopefully using a mix of this, with the animal retainers from Brave the Labyrinth, when I get a chance to look at the rules. Now I just need some help thinking about what special powers or mutations these monsters would get, based on type.

I'm also planning to use these house rules of mine in this homebrew project. In addition any official mons converted should be posted in this thread.
