When I saw this thread the first thing I thought was, "ooo, nice roper."

Great art all around.

Truly fantastic stuff! I adore the facial expressions on the adventurers, especially the nervous dwarf in the...eaglebear? battle.

Hmmm? An "eaglebear" would be a creature with a slightly longer beak than the one I drew on the owlbear. The creature's head would have white feathers as opposed to the darker ones of the owlbear and it wouldn't have the pointy brow feathers either. It would probably be a pretty cool looking change to an otherwise well known D&D monster. Who's to say whatever mad experiment that created the owlbear wasn't done between an eagle and a bear, as well?

And if you ever actually want a drawing of one against a group of adventurers (or whatever) we can work out a deal. Just let me know. ;)

Sorry, I was almost sure it was an owlbear! Perhaps eaglebears live in mountains rather than woods?

Somebody needs to stat this thing! :D It should be sufficiently different that they won't be called mountain-owlbears. :)
