Shae and Dieter hold Wave and examine it. The trident, when pulled from its covering, speaks to them in their minds:

The trident pulses in their hands as they examine it.

He will wait till Dieter or someone with brains directs him where to go...

Dieter - Mage

Hmmm... he mumbles after handling wave. Another intelligent weapon it appears. I cannot speak to it's abilities but I can only assume that they would be great. The forger would not go to such great lengths to imbue intelligence to a simple weapon. It does have a cost though, you must swear allegiance to Poseidon. That may or may not be an issue for some, I guess. He says with a shrug absently scratching his butt. Well, if someone want to make a life changing change here is you portal. He will say with a grin looking at the fighters.

Other than that we should get a move on...

Castinus listens with interest to the conversation about the trident. "I just got my prayers answered by Lady Luck," he says with a smile. "I'll stick with her for now."

The party heads back to the room with the pool of Kelpies. The magical stony wall is still in place and the murky water is calm, for now, yet the seaweed floats as a warning of what could come.
