Calthas notices a door at the end of the passageway, secret and with a mechanism similar to the one used to enter this passage from the bugbears' room.

Thurwin leaves the cell area and approaches the secret door. "Let's have a listen, and then proceed, shall we?"

OOC: let's cautiously open the door and see if this bad fella is about.

Bror - Dwarf Fighter

The dwarf seems to ponder the choice before him and finally agrees to join the party. Even though a secret door has been discovered, he does tell the others his cell has another door on the opposite side, fronting a passage that leads to the torture room. Bror knows the short distance well and is eager to whet the blade of his axe with the blood of his tormentor. Either way, the dwarf tells himself, his revenge will come nigh one way or the other and the more standing by his side the better.

Morgan, out of curiosity and annoyance, raps on the bars of the other cells with his mailed glove. "Your deliverance is at hand. What is wrong with you?"

"Hmm, they could be brainwashed," he muses.

Thurwin points toward the cell and says "Maybe Tavin is right. At the very least, they don't want to come, and they'd draw needless attention and perhaps visitors if we took them."

Thurwn pats his brother on the shoulder and says "We can try, but we can't save them if they don't wish to be. Let's get going and find this torturer, he could use some of the righteous arm of Heironeous, eh?"

While the party discusses the other prisoners and Bror mentions that he knows the way to the torturer, Calthas (autopilates) opens the newly discovered secret door. He peeks down the hall and then asks Bror if he recognizes the hallway.
