December 24 and 25, 1914 -- During the heated trench warfare of World War I, it became common for combatants to get to know and recognize their opposites on the other side of No Man's Land. What would happen if these enemies just decided amongst themselves to quit fighting altogether? It happened during the infamous Christmas Truce of 1914. British and German soldiers stopped fighting, left their trenches, and came together in a spirit of peace and goodwill toward men. The true meaning of the Christmas message was found in the killing fields of combat. And the Demoreans will stop at nothing to ensure this never happens, ensuring World War I will rage on past its normal historical endpoint.
