Han Overfist, augur of Tymora

(loud laughter and squeals come from the kitchen as two kitchen wenches run from the oven area with red faces and big smiles...Han comes running out after them...realizes he has been noticed, does a quick dance (which is made even more humorous due to great height), bows, and backs into the kitchen...the two red faced women make an effort to collect a few plates and cups from a few tables and then head back into the kitchen...a big roar and then more laughter erupts...)

As Han erupts from the kitchen, dances and abruptly returns, Melvin pauses his story long enough to say with complete lucidity "Hmm... I think your friend may be possessed. Say, that reminds me, did I ever tell you about the time I ran my herd through the dreaded Goblin Hills? Let's see... that was 10, no 20 years ago.. " and he drifts off into another tale...

Jayce, as you start to follow the brown robed man, you hear a voice behind you... it's Grinkle. He says "Master Marcus told me to help. Let's go!" he pulls his cloak tighter, and he starts to sneak out ahead of you... and as he does, you notice he blends in with the shadows well. VERY well... and he is off at a silent jog close behind the rider. You follow (you are still armored and with weapons, so being slightly encumbered, you have to pace yourself to avoid making too much noise.) Soon you are twisting down alleys in Red Larch. After about 3 blocks, you lose sight of Grinkle and the rider. You can keep looking about, or return to the inn...

The rest of the band is slowly finishing their drinks and food. As you do, the innkeep comes out with a key (handed to Nahin or Marcus, whomever accepts it) and he points out the stairway leading up, and says "Gents - top of the stairs and the double doors to the right. I've had the boy put some extra blankets and towels up there for you. He'll bring you up some hot water for cleaning up in the morning. In the meantime, enjoy yourselves, and let us know what we can do for you. We stay open till the last patron leaves tonight - compliments of Seedius and the Morgans!"

Jayce - you are outside, about 3-4 blocks from the inn.
Grinkle is in hot pursuit of the robed rider
The rest of you are relaxing or listening to Marvin's tales.

What's the plan, Stan?

Nahin - Elf

Nahin will relax and listen to Melvin for a bit. As soon as there is an opening in the conversation he will jump in: Melvin, there are a few items that I was hoping you could take a look at. We picked them up recently and are wondering what they are, do you think you could help with that? We would, of course, pay for the service.

Melvin gets a serious look at Nahin's question and says "Certainly, I'd be happy to. Bring them by in the morning, and assuming they are fairly mundane I should be able to do it by evening. Does that work for you?

Unless anyone has more questions for Melvin (or goads him into more stories) he sticks around for another 15 to 20 minutes and then gets up to leave "Gentlemen, thank you for your hospitality. I'll look forward to seeing you in the morning." As he departs, he dons his pointy hat at a rakish angle and starts humming as he exits the door.

Nahin - Elf

Thank you Melvin, we'll stop by tomorrow. Squeezing his shoulder gently he will see him to the door. Your a good friend in an unknown place...

Returning to their table he will sit with Rory and Marcus: Where did Jayce and Grinkle make their way off to?

"I think they went chasing after the angry looking stranger," Rory answers. "Can't say he piqued my interest," he adds, taking a sip of wine.

Marcus, paladin

I've asked Grinkle to find out more about that man. He's a resourceful little goblin and that man looked suspicious. I have a feeling he knows something, Marcus says to Nahin.

He accepts the key from the innkeeper and thanks him. When Melvin leaves he heads to bed with the others.

Jayce - Fighter
"#@%&^! Grinkle! Now I can't turn back until I find you!" Jayce thought. Jayce continued on hoping to catch up to the reformed hobgob before he got himself into trouble.

Han Overfist, augur of Tymora

(Han will continue his process of "helping in the kitchen" and "washing the dishes" until the others ruin his fun)

Melvin bids you all a good night, and Nahin escorts him to the door, and they share some words before Melvin takes his leave.
Han enjoys himself in the kitchen for some time until the inkeep comes back and shoos him out. The barmaid arranges to meet up with him later for some.. uh.. prayers.
The rest of you get ready to turn in, or wind down in the dining area as the inn traffic thins out and the places is cleaning up for closing.

Grinkle and Jayce are absent, presumably chasing Brown and ugly.

I assume unless you post otherwise, you'll be turning in? (except for Han, ladies man of Tymora.)
