I found a strange post-apocalypses movie titled Будет ласковый дождь, which is based on a short story by Ray Bradbury called There Will Come Soft Rains. It is short animated film, in Russian, but there is not a lot of reading. I though folks here would get a kick out of it, based on it's theme. (And were do all those eggs come from? ) Enjoy!

One of my favourite Bradbury stories. I always preferred it as a standalone piece, rather than it being part of the Silver Locusts/Martian Chronicles, which is where it seems to end up these days.

Any symbolism in the fact that the avian visitor the house robot tries to "protect" the nonexistent family from is a dove? Or that its protective efforts lead to its own destruction and the destruction of all it held dear?

Probably more than a bit. Russian writers and animators are very good at getting their symbolism in.

I know I can just roll my own, but I'm a little lazy. Anyone have any thoughts?
