So, for however long now I've been publishing stuff on my blog designed to go with that 1981 edition of that game there. And then I discovered I could just as well be publishing the same stuff for Labyrinth Lord without any changes to the material itself. Thus I started pimping my stuff over here.
Then, early this year, I got the idea to start publishing the stuff from my blog in a 'zine format.
Well, I've finally taken the next step. I'm doing it all official-like and am releasing the newest edition of Dyson's Dodecahedron under the safe harbour of the Open Game License, and am further doing so under the double-plus-good bonus of the Labyrinth Lord Trademark License.
The benefit of the Open Game License is that material I write can be then used by other publishers without having to sublicense it, as all the actual "game" material from my writings will be Open Game Content. The other benefit, as I pointed out earlier, is the so-called "Safe Harbour" that the OGL provides me as a publisher. I'm no longer producing material that is unlicensed unofficial material that is related to that 1981 Edition of That Game, but am in fact producing material within the safe legal area provided by the license.
So sometime this coming week, I'll have Dodecahedron 4 up on my site, all spiffy and official-like.
