OOC:
Just an idea, but when we decide where to go, in addition to trashing the catapult, we could burn the tower. The inside and floors are wood, and it would make the place unusable. And if we have to come back through here, it would likely be occupied again, and one would assume they wouldn't be so lax next time.
Just an idea. Drawback is that it would totally pinpoint where we are, but if we know where we are going, it might draw some opposition away.

Just an idea. Not well thought out, but an idea, nonetheless.

OOC: Man, neither Grimes nor his player are ones for stealth. :)

OOC: I told you he was on the edge. Scorched earth (or sorched lizard) policy is the order of the day for him.

Furuk takes his sword out and tries to bust up the heavy chest. He will also grab two more flasks of oil from storage.

Dieter - Mage

Dieter looks at Grimes with a smile: I subscribe to your thinking but I think stealth would work to our advantage at this juncture. We WILL burn it down on the way out as well as anything else that might hold a flame.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes smiles and gives a thumbs-up to Dieter. "Sounds like a plan."

OOC: Question - when we came in from the water (the area where we found the boat) there was no other way to go, right? And on this island, the dome or is it domes are the only destination that we can see?

Thinking we may be headin' toward the domes.

Furuk doesn't wait for Einar to try to open the chest. With a smash of his sword (using forcing doors d6, 2, SUCCESS) he cracks open the chest, sundering the lid from its hinges.

Image

The chest contains a robe made from some sort of dark, silvery hide. Under the robe are a vial (saving throw, d4, 2), a small velvet pouch, and a silver dagger etched with runes and a blue gem (topaz) on its pommel (150 gp). Gnomish runes on the dagger’s blade spell the word “Gemfarer”. The vial contains one dose of Giant Strength potion. The pouch holds three 50 gp black pearls.

OOC:
To answer your question badams30, the party circumnavigated the island. The tower, pier and domes are the only features you can see.

And as a reminder, your deal with the Master Gint Grüber includes winning Skull Mountain as a base of operations, should you choose.

Winning the place as a base? Awwww, dang. Now I can't smash stuff.

Dieter - Mage

Hmmm... interesting. He'll check out the robe closer to see if it perks his mage'ly interest. Take a peek in the pouch and put the black pearls in the sack with the platinum pieces from earlier. He'll also take a crack at holding the dargger while mutttering "gemfarer". Uh... one of you dismembering folks should grab that vial, it makes killing retiles easier. I figure there has to be a ring leader around the bend here sooner or later, might be handy for it.

OCC: Sheet updated with pearls. He'll take other items for sale later if no one else is interested.

Furuk grabs the vial from the chest and puts it away.

"To the domes it is. I'm ready to go."
