"Krug it is then. And... and... are you hurt?" asks a worried Tasrem. Hearing his companions go about giving orders and complaining at each other, he decides to listen to none of them and asks the troll to come with him a little further away so as not to witness what was happening.

OC: Finally got the touchpad working on my laptop--operator error--so I can once again copy and paste things like images from the module. Here's what the battle you just fought would have looked if one of you was a hirsute left-handed fighter with a fireman's helmet.

Tasrem leads Krung away from the carnage about to ensue. "Scary guy burn Krug with big flame," the troll complains. "Krug can't fix those ouches by himself."

Krug: This pic comes from the sequel to this module: Temple of Death. It's next to a wandering monster table that features a troll. Convenient, n'est-ce pas?

The trolls have no treasure. Once they're in place near the wyvern and its rider (no small feat moving two trolls), Zelaz lets fly with a fireball. As the smoke clears, you get the impression that the trolls won't be coming back to bother you.

The rider, buried in ice, escapes the roast, so you're able to search him. He's carrying 500 gp, for some odd reason. He's also wearing a fancy looking ring, and an amulet. The amulet is engraved with an image that looks like...another amulet, with a pair of hands grasping it.

Actions?
Get thee to the dungeon. Get thee to the dungeon forthwith. Pass not the barbican. Amass not 200 GP.

Zelaz floats down and says, My my, what do we have here. Let's see what we can make of this amulet and ring, shall we? He will take the amulet and ring, as if owed them, and examine them closely. He casts Detect Magic to aid in his efforts.

Zelaz examines the find, using detect magic. The spell identifies both the ring and amulet as enchanted. The former is a ring of spell storing. The latter...Zelaz isn't sure. It's magic, all right. The amulet looks like a skull with two hands grasping it. It might need to be put on for its power to reveal itself...

Tasrem, the wizard shouts, to get the other's attention, do you want to try this amulet? Perhaps you can identify it where I failed. And if you don't mind, I will keep the ring of spell storing myself.

Aristide - Thief

As Zelaz and Tasrem pow wow about the items, Aristide smiles and points at the coin, saying jovially "Hey now! Let's not forget this coin, eh?" he then collects the gold and stows it on Max, patting the camel on the head as he finishes. He suddenly gets an idea, and he shouts to Tasrem "Hey there, Tasrem! Why don't you ask your new friend where they came from and who that clown was on the big bird?" He nods toward the smoking mess nearby...

Roikos takes the amulet and attempts detect evil on it, and any other items taken that may be in question.

Roikos' spell, detect evil, reveals that the ring and the amulet, while magical, are not inherently evil.

Tasrem's attention is attracted once again by his companions. He nods at Aristide, then goes near Roikos and takes the amulet from him -- if the cleric will give it to him. While he wears it he asks: "If you have some healing magic in store, Krug and me might need your services."

Then he waits to see what happens.
