Is there any way to make tables or charts on this site? I'd really like to know.

Basically, not at the moment. You can post an image of a table hosted from somewhere else, but that is about it. The Administrator has to enable table software, which would be cool but was not a feature of the previous incarnation of these forums. I would not have a clue how to do it myself either! :D

I'm pretty patient when it comes down to setbacks like this. I guess I'll just wait awhile. Is it okay if I post the rest of the class before I post the table?

I usually save the table as a jpg and then host it on Photobucket, like this:

Agrippa, here's the way I do it:

- write the table up in Word
- convert the Word doc to a pdf
- then in Adobe, go to Tools > Select & Zoom > Snapshot Tool and "take a picture" of the table by dragging a box around it
- right click and "copy selected graphic" (saves as a .PNG file I believe)
- open up the Windows "Paint" programme (Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint)
- paste the image into Paint
- save As a JPEG (or whatever you're happy using)
- edit the picture if necessary as it may need to be cropped (I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager)
- assuming you have an account with the free image hosting site Photobucket (or similar), upload the picture
- Photobucket will then supply you with some links - use the image (IMG) one
- paste it into your thread
- highlight the link and click on the "Img" button in the options above
- Bob's your uncle

It sounds complicated but it's not. If there's an easier way I don't know it, but would love to.

Here's an easier way: why save to PDF? Just take a screenshot and paste in Paint. Cropping (select and copy the part you need, then hit New Document and paste) and whatnot can also be done in Paint. :)

I use the current version of Word which has a built in "save as pdf" function, so it's just a single click. Plus for some reason the document (and therefore tables) always looks better in a pdf than in the original Word doc.

Oh, right, I forgot that tidbit about you creating tables in Word, instead of Excel. Btw, what's wrong with you? :D
