Help with the Known Lands in my Amherth setting

Postby petespahn » Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:36 pm

Hi all. Thanks to greyharp for directing me here!

I'm in the process of converting and expanding my Chronicles of Amherth setting for Labyrinth Lord (it was originally a homebrew heavily influenced by Mystara). I'd like to slot the Known Lands noted in the LL core book into the setting so I was wondering if a more definitive map was available than the snippet given there. I'm trying to make it easy for those who have been adventuring there already to combine the two settings.

You could base it roughly on TSR's Known World/Mystara. Take a look at this map for reference:

The part that matches the LL map most closely is along the S coast of the continent.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the link, but I was looking for something more LL specific. Are the Known Lands as presented in the core book all that has been developed for the setting so far?

I posted some stuff for the town of Nahm here, if you want to swipe it. I also think a publisher did the city of Larm as well.

Dan can correct me if I'm wrong, but he has no plans to expand the material beyond what's in the rulebook, although he's happy for others to do so. That being the case, there is no official setting for LL.

samwise7 is right, Moritz Mehlem (Glgnfz) has written a number of modules set in various locations around the LL map. If you wanted to create some sort of continuity, it would be worth talking to him too.

If you are looking for more LL-specific stuff, I should mention that Faster Monkey has been developing the eastern Valnwall region. You can see some info here:

Hey thanks for the help everyone. Yes, continuity is mostly what I'm looking for. I've got the perfect spot for Valnwall in Amherth but I wanted to minimize stomping all over ground that's already been covered, at least as much as possible.

Jeff I had been following those eastern Valnwall posts and would love to see more!
