Tret, lightly armored adventurer

Tret looks over to his companions and smiles grimly. He glances at the door. Then he motions suggesting that a slightly more heavily armored adventurer or, perhaps, a goblin might wish to do the honors as he slips away from the door and readies for action.

Athelstan - Fighter

Athelstan steps forward, and says quietly, "Stand back. No telling what's in here. As usual, I have a bad feeling about this place."
He'll try to swing the door open from the side and/or step back, just in case something inside is planning on springing out, or if it's some trap.

If it's a bad guy, he'll swing at them like he's Babe Ruth on a bender.

Athelstan grips the rusty handle, then, with a look to the rest of you, opens the door.

Silence.

Soldath's staff illuminates a chamber about fifteen feet in diameter. Seconds later, the smell of (demi)human(oid) filth hits your nostrils. Several skeletons of various sizes litter the room.

A dwarf, battered and gaunt, huddles against the back wall, blinking. His legs are chained.

Athelstan - FIghter

Athelstan strides into the room and says "Bring the light, please. Let's attend to this fellow." He approaches cautiously and says "Hello there. Rescue is at hand, Sir." Athelstan turns and says "Tret, can you get this fellow out of these chains?"

Tret, rogue

Isn't that something? he says, looking at the dwarf, as he approaches and tries to pick the lock on the chains.

Soldath - Mage

Ay, unfortunate, stinky situation. Soldath will stay in the hallway.

Tret, rogue

Don't mind the mage, dwarf. Just don't let him put you to sleep, says Tret as he works the locks. What's your story?
