I backed Joseph Bloch's effort to get Adventures Dark and Deep into print via Kickstarter and look what showed up a couple of days ago...

A couple of months ahead of schedule, I might point out.

This book pleases me greatly.

Man, so many good Kickstarters I just miss. Do a review. Is the book available to buy by non-backers? (IN PRINT, not pdf)

You bet, softcover and hardcover available.

This is "What AD&D 2nd Edition might have been like if Gary Gygax had done it." It feels like AD&D plus some of UA and a few other clean ups, and a few new unobtrusive classes. It's really "nice" and familiar feeling.

Once you read thru it, give us your thoughts. The other book, forgotten lore, sounds very interesting to me.
I wish I found out about this kickstarter earlier.

I got my copy a couple days ago also. Mainly got it, to begin with, to just take a look at it. With the limited time I have had with it I like it more than I thought I would. I hope to have more time with it this weekend though. There is a dedecated google group for it also. He certainly did keep the feel of Gary in his writing. I will post more when I finish reading it.

Any thoughts on the other book? Forgotten Lore.
