I will be off for a few days camping and fly fishing. Will be back on Wednesday night.

I would have the same question about the horses...
Zavenorrin is going to bring his bedroll, as well as his bastard sword with him (I will update his character sheet to reflect that). He is willing to take the rear of the line in the marching order.

Straight west is just as good as any other direction to me. If leading my horse seems safe enough (no broken legs) he can carry enough of my rations, etc., so that I'm not too encumbered. Otherwise I'm schlepping everything.

Alright, that's fair enough. Zavenorrin will just use his horse to carry his equipment as long as they can walk in the swamp together.
