I've decided to leave that to the magic users in who's possession they are. Nothing more powerful than 4th level spells (so more powerful than your characters can currently case but not insane).

Spells need to be selected before the adventure starts.

Should I assume the sword and armor are a bastard sword and plate? How much do magic weapons and armor weigh?

What's interesting is that it was all rolled (although some moved around for appropriateness) and a few of the more powerful things I rolled weren't included. I want you guys to be able to survive to the end but not wade through effortlessly.

We'll see if I've stuck balance.

Magical items weigh zero

I always thought that was kind of funny. It just shows that magic is awesome. So can someone swim easily in magic platemail?

Apparently, although it would be awkward. I don't think LL has swimming rules that take into account drag from stuff worn.

It always struck me as odd that a 150lb set of mail would suddenly weigh nothing when it gets a +1. Maybe that's how Wolverine of the X-Men can even walk -- his adamantium skeleton is +1.

So Magical weighs zero? Is that a house rule or does it say that in LL/AEC somewhere? In either case, that's pretty friggin cool! :D 8-)

hmmm. Seems I misspoke on magical armor weight. Please see the table on LL119 for clarification.

I must have been remembering old house rules or maybe the rule in an early edition of DnD.
