Day 11, Lunadain, Thaumont 11th, remains of Sielo lumber camp, early evening

Gregor loads Kalanos' equipment into his horse's saddle bags, then hoists the unconscious boatman into the saddle in front of him. After a few brief directions to the next settlement, he bids you farewell.

"See you back at Sukiskyn, lads. Ma'am," he adds, nodding to Biz. With that, he's off.

You ride north, keeping the sound of the Volaga River to your left. Just as the sun begins to set, the woods part to reveal the remains of the Sielo lumber camp.

It looks just like Ilyakana, only worse. The goblins, it seems, took to their work here with even greater enthusiasm. Human corpses hang from trees, abused and defiled. Some lie in pieces on the ground, quartered. One appears to have been gnawed at, with shallow bites all around the body. Of the dozen or so dead littering the camp, only two are of goblins. Viper goblins, from the looks of it.

Actions?

Athelstan - FIghter

Athelstan scowls, barely able to contain his rage. "Filthy cowards! Scum!" and with a volley of expletives, he leaps from his horse and starts to quickly, almost maniaclly cut down the hanging dead, careful to not let them tumble or be further defiled.

As he runs about trying to attend to the dead, he loudly proclaims to anyone who will listen "This is it... These goblins will see no mercy from me. I will kill them where they stand, women, children, whatever... there will be no surrender, no mercy, just vengeance and death. Be it wolves, goblins, hobgoblins, and especially those who may have supported this, they will all die, and I will find them...."

He continues to mutter and flit about, gathering the dead for proper burial. He'll call for Renardius to administer rites as well. Once that's attended to, he will gather the goblin bodies and rougly toss them in the woods, kicking them and spitting on them as he does.

Once he's done, he'll silently clean himself up, removing his armor and clothing and bathing in the river, and once done he'll get re-equipped and ready to proceed.

You have about one and a half hours of daylight left. By proceed, do you mean proceed to the next homestead? Or do you mean proceed to make camp for the night?

Sorry - bad choice of words. I assumed we'd be camping here. Unless of course everyone wants to continue.

Soldath - Mage

Holding the sleeve of his robe over his mouth and nose: Ahhh... insanity! He will help with the bodies. Afterwards: Yes, camp it is. I have a bad feeling what night may bring...

Biz

Like Soldath, Bizenghast helps reluctantly (due to the smell).

Renardius (Cleric)

"Let us camp a short way off from here, although I doubt the goblins are likely to return. Still, why only two dead? Were the remainder taken away, or were the loggers unable to put up a fight?"

Soldath - Mage

Perhaps mixed tribes... one being compelled to work for another?

"Well, I'm all for camping away from here." She says as she makes a 'stinky' face.
