16. The Sword in the Ooze: there is a Gray Ooze lurking here. It appears to be a small boulder, and there is a sword sticking out of it. The ooze will not do anything unless somebody tries to remove the sword, in which case it will attack whoever has the sword. The sword itself is a +1 Longsword, with the ability to burst into flame once per day on command (the command word is written in ancient runes down the blade), dealing extra fire damage. The ooze is related to the black puddings in areas 8 and 9.

Is a +1 Flaming Longsword too much for 4th level? And is a Grey Ooze too weak a challenge to be guarding it?

I'm loving these posts, by the way. Is this dungeon going to be collated into a PDF like the last one?

(Sorry, been a bit absent lately!)

Room 16. is great, Elber, and I think the ooze is a fine guardian. It's a creature I've never used, so I had to look up what it can do... It's pretty nasty, armour destroying, clinging and 2d8 damage, so a fine guardian, I think.

And I'm sure the dungeon will get PDFed. I'll certainly do it if no one else does. It'll just take me a while to get a large enough party of 4th level PCs to run through it! :)

17. Taboo Statue: Dusty cave full of cobwebs. In the alcove stands a marble statue of a delicate woman (possibly elfish). The statue is almost completely concealed amongst cobwebs and piles of broken wood and debris, only her face can be seen. Anyone clearing the statue will experience a strange chill of fear and get the feeling of being watched. The word "OMERON" is carved at the statue's base.

18. A Pitfall for the Trusting This room was formerly an abode of the Shadows, and, as such, is pitch black. However, it is currently inhabited by 1d6 Dopplegangers, who will shift into the previous adventuring party to come through here, and call for help from whatever side of the 20 deep pit in the center of the room the party is not on, luring as many of them as possible into it.

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

19. Cockatrice Nest: A strange scene of four stone statues (three humans and a tamed bear) attempting to haul away a fifth statue with ropes tied around it. The fifth statue is in the form of a ballerina, carved from a single piece of pinkish crystal, and is clearly valuable (8,000gp, to the right buyer). It is covered in what looks like bird crap. Characters familiar with farmyard life will recognise a chicken-like smell in the room. The sandy floor is covered in feathers. Three cockatrices live here, in a small burrow at the back of the room (also containing 3 eggs). Fighting in this area may be treacherous, with the statues getting in the way and the ropes criss-crossing the room.

20: Spider Lair: The thick webs in this room make progress almost impossible. Players will have to slash their way through. Anyone disturbing the webs must save vs. poison or be covered in a swarm of small spiders. The swarm has 3HD, and deals 1 damage per round until they are all squished or scraped off. On the far side of the webs is a pair of Giant Spiders, who will use the presence of the webs to their advantage.
In the corner are two dead adventurers, wrapped in silk. Their bodies have a total of 50cp, 98gp and 7 non-magical rings each worth 100gp.

21. The Hall of Shadows

This room is dimly lit, with shadows seeming to twist, curl, and move. This is the result of an ancient spell cast by the elves that once lived here, keeping them here as wraiths until Omeron's Queen returns. Anyone with the ability to see magical effects will see it as a brightly lit dining hall, with many elves eating, dancing, and otherwise enjoying themselves. There are two thrones on a dais at one end of the hall, but both are empty, and will remain so. All furniture is visible to anyone, though lighting should be taken into effect.

[P.S: *Were you referring to Oberon, King of the Fey, but mistyped, or was this the correct spelling?]

Very nice, room 21 :)

Well it was more of a nod to Oberon by invoking a similar sounding name.
