Let's discuss/brainstorm "GoblinCon!" (continued)

I just want to make sure this discussion from the old boards doesn't get forgotten. Some kind of casual/official LL/MF/SS gaming meetup in 2011 would be awesome:

If it appears an official (or even "casual") meet-up won't happen, let's discuss a meet-up at either Origins or GenCon this year. I'd like to meet the regulars on here and get some LabLord/MutFut face-to-face gaming under my belt this year.

I think there is no question of "if" I'll get something together, but more of "when." My job situation isn't really stable yet, I'm still going year to year unsure if/where in the country I'll be working. Once I establish a stable home base I can start thinking about it, though.

But speaking of Gen Con, is anyone planning to go?

I was at GenCon last year and will be there again this year. I ran 15 Pharaoh and will continue the series in August. I'd be happy to pitch in and run demos if there's a need.

I have stopped going to GenCon after 15 years of regular attendance. I'm just not willing to fight US Customs & Immigration anymore. If the US wants to keep the borders closed to dangerous terrorist-aiding Canada, then I'll just stay up here and say to hell with the whole country.

I'm planning on hitting both Gen Con and Origins this year. I'd love to meet others from the LLS/OSR.

I gave up air travel just because I don't like being molested every time I got on a airplane so if I can't go by train / car / bus I stay home. I miss going to Canada to visit friends but it's not worth the trouble anymore.

I plan on attending GenCon this year and taking my boy with me!

Does anyone know if any OSR publishers will be making an appearance?
