No. Its LL rules, but DCC RPG idea/flavor. They use a character funnel, where you start with several 0 level nobody characters and many die. The few left become full fledged adventurers.

Characters are just 0 level nobody villagers. I roll straight 3d6 in order, random career. Almost no equipment or armor.
