Day 27, Tserdain, 27th Thaumont, just outside the Sukiskyn homestead, midday
Your journey across the river, through the northern moors and into the Dymrak Forest takes two full days, loaded down as you are with gold. Other than a heavy rain on the first say the trip passes without incident. Midway through the third day, the trees give way to a familiar clearing, and across the clearing the familiar homestead. A herd of white horses lounges in a fenced in area to the south. A handful of Traladarans are tending the horses, coating the barn with pitch, chasing around chickens, etc.
Stephan brings his horse to a stop, pausing to take in the scene. Then, without a word or looking back, he spurs his mount forward. At the sound of the racing hoof beats, a few faces look up from their work. Some stare in confusion, but a few surge forward in greeting. From this distance, you hear shouting and commotion. The noise draws a tall figure from within one of the buildings outside to investigate. You recognize him as Pyotr, the clan leader. Before you know it, he and Stephan are hugging, then shouting, then shoving each other, then hugging again. The two look up in your direction, and then Pyotr gives you a welcoming wave.
