Dieter examines the Staff, Wand, and scrolls.
The scrolls are all spell scrolls, two are magic user scrolls, two are clerical.
Scroll 1 (M): Magic Mouth, Shatter, Dispel Magic
Scroll 2 (M): Astral Projection
Scroll 3 (C): Neutralize Poison, Exorcise
Scroll 4 (C): Holy Word
The staff is of petrified wood studded with tiny gemlike knobs, ten (10) of which glow with an eerie light, and topped with a crystal with a spinning colorful shape in it. The staff is a
Staff of the Magi, one of the most powerful artifacts Dieter has ever seen.
The colorful shape in the the crystal head of the staff:The wand is striped in many colors, with ribbons running from its tip. Dieter cannot fathom its use but it does seem to have a Word of Power inscribed on it:
undursamlegur. Apparently it will have to be used for its function to be divined.
He hands the rod to
Dandy, who immediately identifies it as a
Rod of Resurrection. It has a handy loop to affix to his belt.
With some experimentation, it seems the
advanced bag of holding can hold all that Karl and Theo carried and more, although only coins, gems and jewelry. It cannot seem to hold armor, weapons, or other artifacts.
Furuk finds nothing more than what was already found: no coins, gems, jewelry, or anything of value. He examines the weapons.
The sword is of a silvery curved blade. Some testing shows that it is a
Scimitar of Vorpal Slicing (+3 to hit/damage, chance to decapitate).
The star-shaped dagger thing is a curiosity. It has a word on it, "Glaive", although it is obviously not a pole arm. It, like the wand, requires more examination.
The party gathers themselves together and rests. Spells replenished and bodies feel even more healed than usual. In fact, you haven't felt this good in quite some time! Dieter's eyes is still not there though.
