Skull Mountain: Deeper

Postby greyarea » Mon Jun 06, 2011 2:49 am

The passage from the back of the Skull winds around and ends in a stairway down to the second level. The corridors are unfinished stone cut out of the mountain.

The area is deeply dark and even with Dieter's shaft of continual light, it is slow going with the floors as rough as they are. The shaft casts harsh shadows around you. You find you can either go north or south as the corridor goes.

Anadrea

Takes out a coin and flips it

"North?"

Let the red dawn surmise
What we shall do,
When this blue starlight dies
And all is through.

“North it is.”

Furuk readies his sword and proceeds to the north beside Kalvain.

You head North, which soon turns west.

The corridor is dark and it is difficult to see properly with Dieter's shaft your only light source.

Anadrea

"Maybe someone towards the front wants to light a torch?" Plods along with the party, occasionally checking behind the group to make sure they aren't being followed

“Our hands are tied up with shields in the front. Let’s stop for a minute and prepare another light source.”

Furuk will look to Dieter or Dandy to light up a torch or lantern. After one is ready he will take out his small mirror and take a peek around the corner. If everything is clear then he will continue on with group to the west.

Dieter:Magic User

Perhaps the darkness is unnatural? Dieter mutters as he peers at his own source. OCC: The continual light spell Dieter is using has a 60' radius with an illumination similar to a torch whereas a torch or lantern both have a 30' radius. @ GM: Does Dieter notice a change in the output of his light source? Is the grid on the map scaled to 10'?

OOC: When I wrote my last post I forgot you had the continual light spell cast Spanning. I apologize for any confusion. I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be sufficient for all of us to see. We’ll see what the DM says.
