PM limits
Is it possible to change the PM limits for longtime users? I'd like to be able to keep more than 120 messages and have more than the currently allotted folders.

phpBB has settings by group (meaning a moderator group can have a different limit on PMs than the user group...for example) so Dan would have to up the quantity for everyone pretty much. I am not sure if this has an issue on server performance. Most server are commonly set at around 50 I think...so 120 is pretty large.

Ok, I've upped folders to 15 and PMs to 350. We'll see how it goes and if there are no problems it can stay this way.
Having said that though, keep in mind that the PM system is not meant to handle the same load as email. It might be a good idea to take some conversations to email. They would be safer as far as archiving, too.
