I have been trying to do that with the creatures (and cast) from the Golden Key comic Mighty Samson. That comic series is full weird hybrid creatures that looks like some crazy Taxidermist whet crazy with his collection.

If you like old-school Gamma World, then Mighty Samson and Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth are must reads.

If anyone stats those "hilarious hybrid animals", then I would find a place for them on the MF Wiki.

I agree. I also find Nightmare #1 (the rhino-rooster hybrid) scary. Roosters are mean and ornery enough as it is. Giving one the power and added hostility of a rhinoceros would create a terrifying threat.

I made a Mutant Future creature generator that made similar creatures HERE. It also does robots and the melding of two creatures into one mutant form. It was pretty fun to make and I think it turned out pretty well.
