Einar, Thief

The young thief pokes around the room, looking and sniffing all the while for anything unusual. Following Dieter's view of the ladder, Einar gives it a once over and slight tug, testing for traps. If it seems sturdy enough, he'll ascend the ladder and inspect the hatch.

You find nothing other than what was already described for the room.

The ladder (secret roll) appears untrapped. Einar ascends and checks the hatch. There is no lock and (secret roll) Einar finds no traps. He tries it and finds a rooftop area that is very dark. No one appears to be up there.

Grimes - FIghter

"What do you say, men? Onwards down the path? Or up on top?" Grimes will climb the ladder and go topside if we need someone to check it out.

Dieter - Mage

Not sure, I would think the higher danger would lie downward.

Einar, Thief

"It is too dark above for me to see. I'll see what lies further along the passage and we can choose from there". Einar pulls up his hood and slinks down the hall.

Furuk stands guard with his sword ready. He'll wait for Einar to come back and report what he finds.

OOC: Feargus didn't reply as timely as I would have liked so I'm posting to you what I sent him. He's the only one that's been in this area (yet).

Einar hoods himself, disappearing from view, and checks out the passage east. The steeply-sloped passage leads down to a set of stone double doors, the passage leveling just before them. There is a small alcove to one side, about five feet before the doors. The doors are closed and appear to be locked, although not outside Einar's skill to pick, he thinks. He notices two arrow-slits next to the door but the meager light bleeding out of the slits from Dieter's light source way back in the room above illuminates nothing beyond. Checking for traps (secret roll) reveals none.

The steepness of the slopes gives Einar's thighs a workout on the way back to report.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes says "Hmm... sounds interesting. Although the steep angle makes me wonder why. I'd hate to be trapped on that steep incline."

Grimes is fine with investigating it, but is suspicious, and if we had to beat a hasty retreat, that slope could be a problem.

Einar, Thief

Huffing up the ramp to the group, Einar hopes to not have to run back up it again. "At the bottom of the ramp is a set of double doors. There are murder holes but I couldn't see anything beyond. There is a small alcove to the left, but nothing seemed amiss". With that he beckons his allies to follow down the ramp.

OOC: sorry for the delay!
