FR will cast CLW on Caydon and on himself. That'll bring him to <2/3> if I'm counting correctly.

Calthas goes about recovering his dagger, while briefly surveying the area to check if any more bad surprises are coming.

Effric casts his healing spell on Caydon cure light wounds [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2. Boy, looks like that wound wants to stay.

Thurwin slits the throat of the sleeping bugbear.

Tavin uses his new spellcasting ability for the first time cure light wounds [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5 with better results.

Fr Redmond saves the spell, now that Caydon is healed, and casts Zagyg's Rejuvenating Jest on himself cure light wounds [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5

Calthas regains his dagger. Caydon regains his dignity.

Three bugbears are dead. One is statuesque. Calthas' keen eyes detect no others nearby. Hey the held one looks familiar...

Thurwin shakes his head as he approaches the bugbear. He glances at Father Redmond. "How long will this one be held?"

Assuming he has a few minutes, he says in goblin "I'd hoped we wouldn't see you again, or you'd have at least remembered the outcome of our last time. Give me a reason why we should spare you a second time?"

OOC: Yeah, he'll probably be like "I'm tough, I hate you and I'd eat your spleen if I could, go ahead and kill me." But what the hey, questioning him seems like a good guy tactic... I don't care what we do with him. Killing him is probably the only real option.

Once the hold is released, the Bugbear looks at Thurwin quizzically. (DM assumes that he's somehow trussed up.)

He responds, in Common, I don't speak elvish or whatever that is. If you can't tell us apart, then to the nine hells with you, human. May Orcus eat your spleen.

I found my brother dead the other day. Killed by human, dwarfish, and elvish scum like you. All he'd been doing is trying to bury his dead friends, who'd probably been killed by others like you. You see us and you attack, no questions asked. Don't like it so much when the tables are turned, do you? You're lucky you have those spells and these ropes, 'cause I'd rend you limb from limb if I were free. I hate all of you.

He spits at you.

Thurwin shrugs and says "I spared your brother, I could have killed him, he worked for bandit scum. My charity is exhausted. Orcus may eat my spleen, but I think the buzzards will dine on you and your friends tonight." He makes a dismissive gesture and says "he's yours gentlemen. Do with him as you like."

Thurwin will help search the others to see if they have anything of intelligence value.

OOC: Lets kill this guy and be on, shall we?

Father Redmond approaches the creature and gives it the Inverse Last Sacraments.

"May thy soul never reach Zagyg's holy kingdom. May it stay laugh-less for all of eternity, in sadness and darkness. May it never meet Zagyg's holy apostle 'Aguy In Tu Abar' and never rejoice in its presence…"

It takes a minute or two and he finishes with these two words in a forgotten holy language "Datswat Sheesed"

The final bugbear is dispatched.

Searching them you find some 37 copper pieces, 7 gold pieces, and 3 platinum pieces. Their spears are crude but nice and their flails are very nice, although none appear magical. There is nothing about the Temple or Nulb in their possession.
