The Leaning Towers of Chessex

I've got a pack of those small Chessex D6's. A stack only 5 dice tall leans noticeably as if they're oblong!

They're new so they're not worn. Defective batch or are they all like this?

I've found that the smaller dice seem to have a higher incidence of problems. Games Workshop dice (I don't know who they source them from) can be particularly bad - I've seen cases where their "dice cubes" plastic packaging is actually deformed by the dice packed into them. I'd suggest trying to take them back to where you bought them or contact Chessex about replacements, although I would certainly not guarantee that you'd see results. If you want "precision dice" I think you really need to go for Gamescience.

Usually "gambling dice" are high quality.

I've heard good things about GameScience, bad things about Chessex and nothing at all about Koplow.

I did find somebody else who noticed the same thing.

EVERY SINGLE DIE is so lobsided that I cannot stack more than five dice without it collapsing. Even at four, it is visibly leaning, and it shouldn't be.

I checked on a friends set of mini D6s and they leaned that badly too. Not sure what company made them.

This is what sold me on Gamescience:

I've been using a bunch of GS dice for over a year now, and love them. I feel like I'm getting a much more random spread of numbers.
