Castinus looks down the hallway at the ghouls, then at his nifty bow of doubling, also down the hallway. He curses.

Grimes - FIghter

Grimes curses his luck, eyeing his gear, then the ghouls, then his gear again. He'll grab Wave as soon as possible. In the meantime, he'll go fisticuffs with these things to buy time for the others. "Uh oh. Hey, Dieter, Dandy? Got something for these things?"

Shae - Fighter/Mage
Shae dumps her armor, helm, and shield. She will dash down the hall towards the battle carrying her bow and quiver slung over her back. In her hands she will hold her Magic Sword and her Wand of Magic Missiles hoping their magic is heat resistant!

A Ghoulish Trap

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 2 party [1d6] = 1 Ghouls have initiative.

Four ghouls attack Grimes (naked as a jay, AC 7 )
Ghoul 1 ghoul attack [1d20] = 1, [1d20] = 4, [1d20] = 16, Critical miss. He slips and falls.
Ghoul 2 ghoul attack [1d20] = 17, [1d20] = 8, [1d20] = 13 HIT, MISS, HIT dmg [1d3] = 2, [1d3] = 2 and paralysis!!!
Ghoul 3 auto hit - paralyzed victim dmg [1d3] = 2, [1d3] = 1, [1d3] = 1
Ghoul 4 auto hit - paralyzed victim dmg [1d3] = 3, [1d3] = 1, [1d3] = 3

Four ghouls attack Furuk
Ghoul 5 ghoul attack [1d20] = 17, [1d20] = 13, [1d20] = 13 all miss
Ghoul 6 ghoul attack [1d20] = 17, [1d20] = 5, [1d20] = 17 all miss
Ghoul 7 ghoul attack [1d20] = 16, [1d20] = 1, [1d20] = 8 Critical miss. He gets pushed over by a comrade.
Ghoul 8 ghoul attack [1d20] = 10, [1d20] = 14, [1d20] = 13 all miss

Dieter considers a fireball. No way to not his his companions, especially since they are now swarming a paralyzed Grimes. But it might be worth it anyway...
Dandy, all leveled up, strips as only a dwarf can.
Castinus curses.
Grimes lies prone.
Shae strips as only an elf can. This might distract Castinus but not the Ghouls.
Furuk fights back Furuk attack Sword +1 [1d20+3] = 18+3 = 21 dmg [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8 He hurts ghoul 5 quite a bit.

Grimes lays paralyzed, thinking happy thoughts of Poseidon, and wishing he had Wave in his hand so he could plunge it into the ghouls....

Dandy, Naked Dwarf Cleric

"Ayeee, help me Belenus!" Dandy yells as he runs down the hall, Whelm in one hand, gripping the leather, with his silver holy symbol hanging from Whelm's handle.

When Dandy gets close enough, he'll attempt to turn the ghouls, then hurl Whelm at any ghoul attacking Grimes.

Not sure what to do he'll pull out his wand of polymorph self and try to take the for of a golem (whatever the strongest one is). I'm coming Grimes!

Edit: Strongest non-metallic golem! :D

Castinus looks at the fallen Grimes, then at his empty hands. Remembering how the crude halfling saved his life from the kelpies, he sets his face in a determined grimace. He then sprints down the hall towards the ghouls and his weapons. If he can get to his sword first, then he'll grab it and attack the nearest ghoul. He'll push a ghoul away if he has to.

Dieter turns his Wand of Polymorph on himself, transforming into a Stone Golem. He races down the corridor.
Dandy stops when in range holding up his silver holy symbol. The hot metal burns his dwarfish hands as he attempts to turn the ghouls! (2HP dmg) turn [2d6] = 9 All of the ghouls are turned by the cleric!
Castinus and Shae sprint down the hall too. They get there as the ghouls begin their fleeing down a side-hall.
Furuk (autopilot) swings at a ghoul that is beginning to flee, Furuk attack Sword +1 [1d20+3] = 15+3 = 18 dmg [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8 cutting it down.

The remaining seven ghouls run into the secret room they came from, cowering in fear.

Einar remains behind. Theo comes trotting down the hall and says, Einar said he'd watch the loot. There's no way he can carry it all so I don't think there's a problem with that, and this way I can help carry in this section. The DM is happy he doesn't have to autopilot two characters for a while...

The ghouls cower in the secret room, which is otherwise empty. If the party wishes to put them all to rest, you can: they're easy pickings at this point. Furuk can't take his eyes off Shae and yet offers her his ring so she can go retrieve her armor and weapons. The rest of you dress, except for Grimes, who is still paralyzed and prone on the floor. It's a good thing you drained the water in this place, otherwise he'd be drowned by now.

There are short stairs leading north, the passage at the top turns completely around with a door to the south.

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

Dandy curses and ties the holy symbol to Whelm's handle again. He'll help dispatch the ghouls, then wait his turn with the ring and retrieve his armor and gear. Finally, he'll bandage his hand and use one CLW on Castinus, Grimes and Furuk, along with the staff of healing for each (if they haven't yet been healed by it today).
