PC paranormal creatures

How would you handle a PC who is one of the paranormal "Things" the teams normally investigate? Will there be an eventual product that covers this, similar to the one that was out for Chill 2e, The Beast Within?

OR

Do you have tips to be able to do it right now right out of the box?

Example: a player wants to play a vampire who wants to atone for past sins by helping investigate others of his kind and other Things in general.

You sound like you're looking for "Creature Feature" for the original Pacesetter Chill. It's compatible with CW.

I didn't get to play the 1st. edition. I played the 2nd. edition by Mayfair and in the Mayfair version the book you needed for this is called The Beast Within.

But how would you address this in Cryptworld?

I would address it by picking up Creature Feature, because what you want to do is in there and compatible with CW. No sense reinventing the wheel. Or you could come up with your own house rules to do it.

I wonder if my copy of The Beast Within for the Mayfair Chill 2e will be as compatible with Cryptworld.

Mayfair Games used to have a page explaining the differences between editions, with conversion notes. Looks like all things CHILL are pretty well buried on the site now, but thanks to the wonders of the Wayback Machine...

Unfortunately the board doesn't seem to allow the use of a [url] code, so I'm afraid you'll have to cut and paste.

Hope that helps.

Not for Me :) Might be because I haven't made many posts since signing back up to the forum. Probably an anti-spam measure.
