Ignore the naysayers. Very nice post. I returned to roleplaying as an adult mainly due to the large online community that had been built around old-school RPGs. The term OSR seems to be the best description for this, any bad association with it is someone else's problem. And as greyarea implies, the vitriol just gets in the way of playing our games :).
