Warmup Art

Postby MythAdvocate » Fri Nov 21, 2014 8:12 pm

A couple warmup illos that I thought you guys would like. The first is a classic big warbot and the second is a mobile strip-miner robot. These are not to-scale with each other. The warbot is about eight feet tall, while the factory bot is the size of a smelting plant.

Now there's an understatement. :)

Looks awesome. The factory bot reminds me of a pill bug meets a spice harvester. Very cool.

Thank you.

A pill bug is a good comparison. I was also thinking on hissing cockroaches. I imagine those bots gnawing a landscape down to nothing, leaving a poisoned landscape behind.

Here is another warmup illustration. Its a Cthuloid alien that I call a Sligodont. Chill, alien beings that dwell on worlds similar to Europa.
