The invisible baddie is pissed and yelling from the doorway.
Dieter casts fireball, exploding it in the hallway beyond to get as much of the quaist as possible without hurting his friends. The orange ball of flame grows as it launches from the wizard's palm and hits as he intends (
dmg 6d6, 6+6+2+2+5+4=25). The explosion is spectacular and the daemon becomes visible as it is consumed by the heat of the flame. It's lifeless body lies on the ground. [ooc: even if CueTwo had made his saving throw, he'd be dead anyway -- nice dmg roll]
Some of the bits of furniture and books catch fire from the explosion but are easily put out.
Castinus, in his fright, runs up the stairs and into the room beyond. What he discovers there is a private shrine that the ogre had converted to his private headquarters. The room is lit by a dozen candles and is decorated with the intestines of several slain dwarves. There is a bed with a trunk beneath, which is open.
It takes about half an hour for the effects of the fear to wear off. Grimes and Dandy keep their fellow adventurers from fleeing.
