Turin, cleric

Turin isn't too pleased with Toad 4. Didn't your mother tell you not to stick out your tongue at people, he yells as he closes the distance and beats at it with his mace!

Immalor, Elf

Attempting to make up for his poor balance on these swampy grounds, Immalor will swing his weapon with renewed vigor.

Balfa the dwarf is now cursing loudly in the language of his people. Amid the cussing he voices a vow he shan't move until the frog-beast he faces dies.

Zavenorrin feels blood flow through his eyes again as his eyes flash at his toad foe. Gripping his spear with renewed vitality, he avidly seeks revenge!

Ma foi! the murderous battle continues behind the stone Temple

Round 5 Initiative rolls, party rolls 3, monsters roll 4. The Toads win init and will be 1st to act

Toad 3 sees Zavenorrin returning to the ranks of the mobile tries to bite him, atk roll 14, hits AC5! for 2hp damage
Toad 4 bites at Immalor, atk roll 7 misses
Toad 7 attempts biting Turin, atk roll 3 misses
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mustering full strength the party looks to end the contest

Zavenorrin springs to his feet and lashes out w/ Ax, atk roll 18 hits!, damage 6 on Toad 3, a deep gash in it's side but it lives on
Turin swings his magical mace, atk roll 17 hits!, for 5+2=7 dmg to Toad 4 finishing it in a broken heap on the soft ground
Leon strikes, atk rolls 5,4 both miss
Immalor swings his ax for a blow, atk roll 19 hits!, dmg 4+1=5 dmg to Toad 3 killing it
Egbert attacks with his long sword, atk roll 19 hits! for 8+2=10 damage slicing through the neck of the Toad. It dies

You stand breathing heavily in the swampy underbrush behind a Black Temple. Dead bloated corpses of Giant Yelow Toads lie strewn about. There is oozing gore on your blades. The sun is starting to reach past it's peak in the sky overhead wraught with wispy clouds. It is 3pm.

What are your actions?

Let the red dawn surmise
What we shall do,
When this blue starlight dies
And all is through.

Eggi

Looking to Zavenorrin... "Ye be fer bein OK friend? Ya gave that toad o'yers a good lickin!!" Not wanting to 'hurt' his manhood, but desiring to share his compassion and caring.

He thinks about his pun... "a good lickin... BAH-HAHA!" as he laughs out loud.

Eggi looks around at his group of companions... "Everyone else OK? Fer whaht it's werth! Ye'all made Eggi proud today - tah fight along side ye! Good fightin'ye were! Mebbe them stoopid toads gots a lair'roun here?!"

Eggi begins searching in the direction where the toads came from - IF - his companions seem to be in good health & spirits.

Leon examines the sleeping toads, trying to determine if he can exterminate them before they awaken. He lifts his gory dagger to his brow in a self-mocking salute to his comrades-in-arms.

Eggi

Eggi, watching Leon, feels like a fool that he let that 'opportunity' pass him! He also joins Leon is exterminating the sleeping lizards (amphibians) so they do not 'awake' and cause more strife!... then he looks for the direction they came from to determine if they have a 'lair' and possible "goodies" in said lair.

"Good call, Leon! I let me lust fer 'baubles' direct me intentions... but finishin off these bass-turds in prioriteh!"

Zavenorrin smiles at Eggi for his pun, half amused and half contrite. He attempts to tend to his wounds while the others are taking care of the giant toads that he put to sleep. The biting he received on his leg is still awfully painful. Seeing his companion stray away in search of their lair, he says: "Attendez! Aren't you willing to explore this church first before drifting away? In any case the lair could, if it exists, contain more of these monsters. It would be a good idea to be better prepared..."

Pondering the words of Zavenorrin, Eggi restrains from searching for the "nest"... "Aye, good point lad. Let's be fer makin sure we're all hunerd persent b'for we search fer more'of'em!"
