Tower Assault VII

Initiative baddies d6, 1; party d6, 6 Party has initiative

Dieter attacks the free lizardman (LWF) with a dart (d20, 3, MISS) but the dart doesn't connect.

Einar fires an arrow at the same target (d20, 13, HIT, dmg d6+1, 6+1=7) and the arrow embeds deeply.

Dandy (autopilot) throws his hammer at the same target (d20, 20, CRITICAL HIT, MAX DAMAGE) and the hammer leaves a bloody splat on the wall as the lizardfolk warrior's head disappears.

Furuk swings at the same baddie (LW6) (d20, 1, CRITICAL MISS) but his blade gets caught in the webbing. It will take a turn for him to dislodge it.

Grimes swings his sword at his foe (LW2) (d20, 20, CRITICAL HIT, Dismemberment!) and the lizardfolk warrior's head falls into the webbing away from his body.

Three of the lizardfolk warriors break free of the webbing!

The one closest to Grimes (LW3) attacks the halfling with his spear (d20, 2, MISS) but cannot connect.

LW4 throws his spear at Furuk (d20, 7, MISS) but misses. He moves towards the crossbow his fallen comrade dropped.

LW5 moves close enough to Dandy to stab out with his spear (d20, 14, MISS) and sparks fly as the metal tip glances off the dwarf's armor.

Four lizardfolk warriors remain. One is engaging Grimes. The one Furuk was hacking at is about to break free of the webbing. A third is attacking Dandy and the fourth is in a corner with the crossbow, ready to fire.

Grimes-fighter

Grimes will keep swinging at LW3, laughing heartily as the previous lizard's head rolls on the floor... "Your next, lizard boy!"

Einar, Thief

Knocking another arrow, Einar sets his eyes on the spear-thrower moving to the crossbow.

A mage attempting a backstab, hmm....

Tower Assault VIII

Initiative LW d6, 3; Party d6, 1 The baddies have initiative!

LW4 grabs the loaded crossbow and takes aim at Einar who shot his comrade (d20, 5, MISS) but fires before he brings the weapon true.

LW3 stabs at Grimes with his spear (d20, 14, MISS barely) and sparks fly off the halfling's armor.

LW5 stabs again with his spear at Dandy (d20, 14, HIT) and the blade of the spear digs deep (dmg d6+1, 4+1=5).

LW6 breaks free of the webbing and slashes a claw at Furuk (d20, 10, MISS) but cannot connect.

Einar fires at the Lizardfolk who shot at him (LW4) (d20, 20, HIT, MAX DAMAGE) and hits. The blood gushing from the foe suggests that he isn't long in this life.

Grimes slashes at his foe LW3 (d20, 17, HIT, dmg d6+3, 3+3=6) and makes contact!

Dieter tries a trick unusual for wizards and backstabs the lizardman attacking Dandy (LW5) (d20, 17, HIT, dmg d4, 4) and embeds his dagger into him.

Dandy swings his hammer at LW5 (d20, 16, HIT, dmg d8+4, 5+4=9) and the one-two combo of Dieter and Dandy are enough to finish off the lizardman.

Furuk spends this turn getting his webbed sword back. He will attack next turn.

Three baddies remain: the one attacking Furuk, the one attacking Grimes, and the crossbow-wielding one on the far side of the room. Dandy isn't doing so well...
