The party leads the two bad guys out of the ruins of the moathouse. You head to the secret stair. The "new master" and his lieutenant seem very compliant and resigned to their fates.
You make it up the stair without incident. The walk through the upper level of the moathouse also without incident, leading the men through the once bandit-held area, down the grand stair, and through the courtyard.
As you cross the threshold leaving the moathouse, the two split as quickly as possible, running into the fen. One goes right and the other left.
