Balfa grunts, holds his ax and speeds away to were the elf's outcry came as fast as his height-challenged legs permit. Hopefully he can use the momentum of his charge when he encounters a foe.

He muses to himself: are gigantic toads edible?...

Eggi: Dwarf

Once again, Eggi takes his cue from Balfa - sliding his shield from his shoulder, and raising-ready his long sword, he charges into the fray!

Immalor, Elf

"Trouble...."

Immalor readies his shortbow and moves to the edge of the building to get a better idea of what the group is facing.

Leon sprints toward the sound of the elf's cry, sword and dagger at the ready, while muttering something about cutting platinum out of a dead giant frog...

Behind the small Temple in the swampy underbrush

Round 1 init
Players 5
Toads 6

The monsters win round 1 Initiative and are first to act. The closest one shoots it's gross bulbous bone white tongue at Zavenorrin, atk roll 2, misses badly. The next closes one closes the 30' distance in a few bounds and bites at Zavenorrin, atk roll 4, misses. The fat pale yellow Toad has glistening skin, and a bony backplate. It's two eyes are large and glassy with a vertical black slit. From deeper within the swampy underbrush 9 more Giant Yellow Toads move up, attracted by the smells of humanoid flesh, they are all within 10-30' now.

Zavenorrin continues concentrating on his spell casting 'sleep'. Roll 2,6. Four of the nearest Toads slump down onto the ground. The others croak and sniff about hungrily at the air.

Meanwhile...the rest of the party moves at a full run around the east side of the Temple to join in the fray. They spend their full round moving the 90', but now stand panting next to Zavenorrin as he finishes weaving his spell

That is the end of round 1. Seven Giant Yellow Toads remain up, 4 are slumbering.

What are your round 2 actions?, as I will be rolling round 2 initiative next

Immalor, Elf

Immalor will wade into battle, cutting a large swathe through the amphibious creatures that are still awake!

Eggi: Dwarf

This time following the cue of the Elf Immalor, he readies his long sword and shield as he charges the nearest one; Eggi wants to keep his back to the wizard, to help protect him.

"Looks like we're on the menu, boys! I doubt we can out-run-em! Fight to the death!"

Balfa selects a nearby awake toad that is not engaging any of his companions and attempts to gut the beast with his ax.
