Joffrey

"Well it seems I can rest and drink wine all day with the amount of spellcraft we have amongst us. I will never be one to complain at that....Wake me if any swordplay is needed."

He settles down for a(nother) doze.

Zelaz says, Don't be so crabby, Joff. At least you didn't nick your sword.

ROIKOS: Cleric
Looks at Joffrey... and ponders.
Half under his breath he says, "That's not a half-bad idea, actually." and the Cleric sits himself on a box, crate, or smaller barrel for a small break. His eyes stay alert to the movements of the river.

The crab meat proves just as foul as the fish Tasrem caught a week ago, but you all survive, as does an enormous crocodile feeding nearby. None of you were fortunate enough to fall into the river, so you didn't get to meet him up close. Dang. Zelaz's new mount proves quite amenable to its new task.

Pormas mops his brow, then pulls out his flask. "Anyone else care for a drink," he asks. He then drinks, whether or not anyone joins him. Once he's good and drunk, he begins polling the raft upstream...

Day 12, Asanda River, about 120 miles upstream from the village of Pramayama, mid morning

For the last three days, you have continued upstream. As the river takes a turn to the east, civilization--or, more accurately, the ruined remains of it--begins to creep up on you again. More charred buildings, devastated fields, and bloated corpses hanging from gibbets. Today a heavy rain is falling. Water beads on the canvass covering your supplies, and the stench of wet horses and camels does nothing to improve your spirits.

A few hours before noon, you see a small craft appear on the horizon, floating downstream toward you. It looks to be about 1/4 mile away.

Aristide - Thief

Aristide jumps up and grabs his bow, taking a position behind some supplies... he'll be on guard until the craft is close enough to see clearly. He pats Max as he takes up position "Ah, finally - something to break the monotony of this pleasure cruise!"

Zelaz says, Lightning seems to be the spell of the day, to himself as he prepares the spell just in case.

ROIKOS: Cleric
The Cleric moves closest to where he thinks the raft will pass by. His shield and flail are at the ready, but he's not intentionally brandishing them.
