Renardius aids Athelstan in tidying and locking up.

"For the next leg of our journey, I suggest we may want to divide ourselves into two groups: a 'main', and a forward 'van' to scout up ahead. The 'van' would report back regularly to the 'main'. I nominate Tret and Jarek for the 'van', both being quick and well versed in wood-lore. I furthermore nominate myself as lead of the 'main'."

"Agreed as well," Igli responds to the cleric, "if but for my short legs I could aid them. But as long as my axe is near the action, then I am fine wherever I am needed." With no reaching weapon, Igli would need to be near the front or at the rear. "Casters in the middle of the main then?"

Tret, rogue

Stage whisper to Jarek, "It seems the priest wants to get revenge on us by placing us in front and in harm's way. If my storytelling of your bravado has at all put you in this predicament, I am truly sorry by brother. It's just with your contributions to our profession it is difficult not to put in a good word or two."

To all, "I'm of the habit of 'Leading from the Rear' and do not normally serve in the vanguard. As I recall, it served all of us well when that traitorous oarsman made his move. However, as a show of my dedication to the group, I will gladly be a part of the van, to act as scout. I would not nominate myself to lead the van, as a general rule it is unseemly to nominate oneself for such position, and I do think that, although I might have much experience in the outdoors, my fellow padfoot, Jarek, is excellent at leading groups into danger, er, I mean, leading groups into victory. I say he leads our 'van' and those of us up front follow his lead."

Jarek - thief

"Being in the van suits me fine," says Jarek, "and I'll keep ahead on point if that's what you want. Back in the Black Eagle Barony, I did this sort of thing quite a bit. We had a set of signs we used, when we wanted to keep silent. Here, I should show you a few..."

Jarek will quickly go over some basic hand signals...

    a raised hand for "stop"
a circular motion for "group up"
    a raised fist for "enemies/danger"
holding up a number of fingers to indicate how many enemy are in the area
a patting motion for "get down/take cover"
a forward chopping motion for "attack"
    a wave for "all clear/proceed"

Marion - Hobbit

Chimes in before lying down on the floor near the fire, "That order of travel suits me just fine Mr. Renardius"

She is ready to step out at dawn

Athelstan - Mr. Impatience

In his best Army voice: "Alright now, look lively, let's get moving. We have much ground to cover before the sun sets. Gentlemen (To our Vanguard) if you'd please lead the way? And we shall follow.. Let's move out! - Brother Renardius - your column, Sir."

OOC: Athelstan isn't being condescending, nor does he look down upon anyone in the party, he just drops into his army mindset when he gets impatient or facing a challenge.
