Number Nine opens the door

The door slams inward and to the left. The room beyond is simple, with all furniture pushed up against a wall. Waiting is a man in chain with a bow. Surprise roll [1d6] = 1 He gets the drop on you!

He immediately yells, Snarla, now! and looses his arrow at the first one in the room (Number Nine) monster attack [1d20] = 13 HIT! The golem takes an arrow!

The small door in the east side of the passage opens and Snarla casts Stinking Cloud into the hall! The party is engulfed in sickly pea green fog that extends into the tube that spun and soon the faces of everyone matches the hue of the fog. Everyone in the party other than Number Nine is unable to act as they are overcome with nausea.

I'll try to return the favor to the bowman, go after the mage gents!
He will say to his comrades. Dieter will cast stinking cloud into the small room. Number nine close the door and kill the man that just shot you!

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

Choking and gagging, Dandy tries to back out of the cloud into clear air. If he can do that he'll cast a dispel magic on the cloud.

Grimes will try to charge into the room, if that's not possible, he'll cast his web at the spellcaster and the fella with the bow.

If Grimes charges in (and big if, the Stinking Cloud is pretty debilitating) then the order Dieter gives #9 is problematic...

OOC: Oops, didn't get the whole stinking cloud part - disregard. Grimes will back off with the rest and let fleshy take some hits.

OCC: I'm not sure how "tough" the bowman is but if this goes off right that's a real s**t sandwich of a situation to find yourself in. :twisted:

Number Nine lumbers into the room, slamming the door behind him. Dieter cannot get his spell off due to vomiting.

(OOC: Just for kicks, let's play this out, shall we?)

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 3 party [1d6] = 4

#9 attacks Burket Number Nine tohit [1d20] = 12 [1d20] = 20 two hits! Number Nine dmg [2d8] = 12 and max dmg! Burket is dead!

Snarla attacks #9 transforming into a werewolf as she does so. Snarla attack [1d20] = 20

DM ruling -- Golems are magical creatures and can hit werefolk

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 2 party [1d6] = 3
#9 attacks Snarla Number Nine tohit [1d20] = 14 [1d20] = 16 two hits!
Number Nine dmg [2d8] = 11 [2d8] = 8
Snarla dies.

The party hears banging and crashing within the room. Dandy is trying to get out of the stinking cloud. It takes two rounds (how convenient) Saving throw [1d20] = 12 success! Dandy casts Dispel Magic and the stinking cloud disappears.

It takes a bit for everyone to recover. Opening the door reveals a dead werewolf, a dead warrior and an ailing Number Nine. The scratch of the werewolf cannot transform him but it is disrupting his insides. You can tell he's struggling, his skin attempting to shapeshift. Number Nine looks at the party and says, It has to end here. His skin seems to boil and then he lays there, glassy eyed. The golem is no more.

Grimes casts a sorrowful look at Fleshy's form and gives him a pat. "Wow. He took it for the team. Gonna miss you, Fleshy, and all our long talks. Besides, you had 10 times the personality of those two" (motioning towards Castinus and Shae)

He'll start to search the two dead dudes.

From his search, the two dead "dudes" have not much.

The warrior has chain mail, a longsword and a bow with 19 arrows in a quiver. All look non-magical. The were-creature has nothing of interest. There are a couple of benches, a table and a candlestick with a snuffed beeswax candle, all overturned due to the melee, you guess.

There is a door to the north. A search reveals no traps nor does it appear to be locked.
